We offer extensive opportunities for whitewater rafting here at Outward Bound Costa Rica where we run class 3, 4 and 5 rapids on some of the country’s most beautiful rivers. We were thrilled to see rafting’s increasing popularity across the world as displayed in this article about the sport in Lebanon. This kind of adventure is becoming a favorite for weekend tourists where it is possible to raft the Assi River in the Bekaa Valley and also the Litani River in Southern Lebanon.

 

 

We had never thought about comparing heart surgeons and rock climbers previously, but after reading this post outlining just that we can certainly see the similarities! In order to be a rock climber, or surgeon as the case may be, one must possess: physical and mental strength, endurance, coordination and flexibility (both literally and metaphorically).

 

 

 

It’s always inspiring to learn about new ways to promote sustainability. We know all about commuting via bicycle to work in order to reduce one’s carbon footprint, but how about commuting by kayak? That’s what residents of Tampa, Florida are thinking of doing! For now this is still just an aspiration, something that will allow locals to better connect with their natural surroundings, but we hope it comes to fruition soon!
