Co-Marketing Coordinator/Girl Scout Coordinator
The Co-Marketing Coordinator/Girl Scout Coordinator plays a crucial and exciting role in our Marketing and Sales department. You will be part of a team of five responsible for successfully marketing Costa Rica Outward Bound, shaping and maintain our brand image and directly contributing to increasing student enrollment. You will also be responsible for maintaining our long-standing relationship with the Girl Scouts of America by overseeing enrollment in a series of summer courses designed specifically for them.
You will work closely with a fellow Co-Marketing Coordinator, and report directly to the Communication/Marketing Director.
We are looking for a highly organized, fast-learning, motivated, and energetic person to help us take our marketing efforts to the next level, and keep our relationship with the Girl Scouts strong.
Co-Marketing Coordinator Duties:
- Reviewing and building upon existing advertising/marketing strategy for key client categories
- Aiding with lead generation/lead follow-up
- Implementing and maintaining effective marketing plans
- Ensuring marketing and sales message are in line with program objectives
- Regular reporting on ad campaign results and online marketing analytics (Facebook, Google, etc)
- Basic updating/management of our website
- Creating printed marketing/internal materials as needed
- Interview and interact with students on programs for feedback
- Participating in weekly strategy meetings with marketing/sales team
- Aiding the Student Enrollment Coordinator and Custom Course Manager in achieving sales goals
- Serve as a member of a dynamic, energized marketing and sales team
- Work with Social Media Coordinator (photo management, social networking, newsletter, etc)
Girl Scout Coordinator Duties:
- Administering the enrollment and payment process for all of our Summer Girl Scout courses
- Client care. Providing information and preparing Girl Scout students for their course experience
- Working with our liaison at the GSA
- Maintaining our database of Girl Scout students in Salesforce
- Working with our Program Director to schedule and improve our Girl Scouts courses
- Interview and interact with students on programs for feedback
Who We Are:
Founded in 1997, Costa Rica Rainforest Outward Bound School offers a range of experiential education programs promising challenging physical activities across Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Panama with a focus on personal development, leadership, and cultural immersion.
Clients include mostly high school and college-age young people from diverse international backgrounds. We also offer special courses for adults, educators, social/business groups and families. Courses are 10-85 days.
Activities include surfing, white water rafting, kayaking, SCUBA diving, climbing and rappelling, hiking, camping, village home stays and service projects.
Additional Qualifications:
- Direct experience in marketing
- Knowledge of online advertising tools Google AdWords, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads)
- Basic HTML skills
- Basic design skills preferred
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field
- Strong leadership/management skills and proven track record
- Strong written and verbal English
- Fluency in Spanish is a VERY strong plus
- Good time management skills
- Creative, flexible, self-motivated worker
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Photoshop, and InDesign
- Knowledge of Salesforce (or other online databases) preferred
- Ability to excel at living and working in Costa Rica in the CRROBS environment
- Personal ideology in-line with Outward Bound's principle based leadership
- A passion for education and outdoor activities
- Experience living/working aboard preferred
Compensation Package:
- Monthly stipend that increases every
three months over the first year
- Monthly food allowance
- Housing – a private bedroom in a 4-person house with two bathrooms and a common kitchen and living room
