Rainforest, River & Reef will introduce you to the vibrant culture and vistas of Costa Rica. You will meet girl scouts from all over the U.S., experience a life unlike your own and push yourself to accomplish things you never imagined.
Explore the beauty of Costa Rica while hiking in dense rainforest, rafting down picturesque rivers, participating in a service project, ziplining through lush canopies, surfing waves along world-renowned beaches and experiencing Latin culture firsthand!

This course is offered in partnership with GSUSA destinations exclusively for current girl scouts ages 13-18. Scouts must submit a destinations application to their local council. Late applicants welcome!

Course Overview
- Focus on cultural immersion
- Intermediate-level swimming ability required; Spanish skills helpful
- Additional adventure activities include: whitewater rafting, surfing, community service, jungle waterfall rappel and a zipline canopy tour
- Must be a good team player
- Girls will be staying as a group in family homestays or in dorms with bunk beds (all bedding provided)
