Description

The Sea Turtle Retreat course provides an unparalleled opportunity to learn about environmental conservation, help endangered sea turtles and explore the unique ecosystems of Costa Rica. If you are looking to make a difference in wildlife conservation over your winter break, this is the course for you!

In addition to conservation activities, you will meet girl scouts from all over the U.S., build your self-confidence, and improve your teamwork and leadership skills.

This course is offered in partnership with GSUSA destinations exclusively for current girl scouts ages 13-18. Scouts must submit a destinations application to their local council. Late applicants welcome!

Course Overview
  • Focus on service and environmental conservation
  • Intermediate-level swimming ability required
  • Additional adventure activities may include: whitewater rafting, leadership challenges and a zipline canopy tour
  • Must be a good team player
  • Girls will be camping or staying in student dorms with bunk beds (all camping supplies and bedding provided)
