Dear Outward Boundee,

CRROBS is great! I am only two and a half days into my course, but I have enjoyed every minute of it.

The most important things for this trip are a good attitude and good teamwork. You can’t have an animosity between you and your fellow Outward Boundees. They will be the ones to help you succeed. And, you will help them.

During long hikes, remember this: the day is going to end. By stopping, I will not make this day go by faster. By continuing, and pushing through, I will feel accomplished and have finished the task I have set out for.

You will be surprised by how much you can accomplish. Before my waterfall rappel, I was almost sure I wouldn’t be able to do it. But, I surprised myself, and completed the task. I felt amazing.

The sights you will see in Costa Rica are BREATHTAKING. You will learn so much, culturally and philosophically. You will also form amazing friendships and become closer to those in your group than you think. As I said, I am only a couple days into my course, but I feel so much closer to all of them already.

I am sure you will enjoy your trip.
