Student Enrollment Coordinator Maggie FooteOn March 15th, Maggie Foote took over for Greg Albritton as our Student Enrollment Coordinator. Greg will spend some time off to backpack in China and visit friends and family in San Diego before returning to Costa Rica to work for Felipe Lopez & Carlos Granados. Here’s a short bio to help you get to know our newest staff member, Maggie Foote.

Maggie lived in three states and attended seven schools during her youth, but she had never left the US until opting to study abroad in Melbourne, Australia during college. Since then, she has visited five of the seven continents and thinks of travel as an integral part of her lifelong learning process.

Prior to moving to Costa Rica to work with Outward Bound, Maggie spent five years working for a communications agency in Seattle on public relations, corporate social responsibility and community outreach programs. Some of her past clients include Starbucks Coffee Company; King County, Wash.; and Girl Scouts-Totem Council. She also served in AmeriCorps with City Year helping suspended and expelled middle school students overcome barriers to success in school. She was a founding member and co-chair of the Seattle/King County alumni board chapter.

Maggie came to Costa Rica Outward Bound because she is passionate about the environment, wants to help make a difference in the community, and hopes to continue to grow both personally and professionally. Outside of work, Maggie loves all water sports (especially swimming), reading, cooking, travel, hiking and crossword puzzles.
